Room darkening shades are installed without side tracks, leaving the room bright too early. A strange absence of counter space in the bathroom made getting ready a challenge, especially when I had to resort to using a towel for my makeup. As for the fire pit, it felt like a puzzle without any instructions, and when I wanted to light it, the rain had other plans. Oh, and why not place the fire pits where they're easier to access, rather than off in the mulch like an afterthought? Lastly, the narrow, steep staircase was a charming design but not practical for a suitcase—and when needing assistance, an offer isn’t quite enough. Overall, these quirks put a damper on what could be a seamless stay.
